This new 130,000 SF Center creates a vibrant new setting for academic and community life at NEC. Sladen Feinstein’s lighting design supports diverse programs, including rehearsal rooms, a black box opera studio, two-story library, 250 student dorm rooms, dining commons, and gathering spaces. Layered architectural and decorative lighting enhances circulation, reinforces the building’s sophisticated design, and creates inviting spaces for collaboration and connection. The two-block structure enlivens the urban streetscape with its sophisticated design, intended to foster collaboration, spark creativity and nurture the student community.
