Barker Reading Room & Dome Restoration, Cambridge, MA

This project includes an 8,000 SF renovation and restoration of the historic Barker Library Reading Room and opening of the skylight oculus, covered in WWII. Now, the color and quality of light blend smoothly resulting in a modern, efficient, and elegant 24-hour study space where demand has doubled for seats.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

High-efficiency LED lights were added and after nearly 100 years, the rotunda is illumined with a lighting solution that is sustainable and brings the historic architectural details to life.
