This project has restored the historic Huntington Theatre and modernized interior spaces including the iconic 800-seat theatre, dressing and rehearsal rooms, and the Maso Studio, a new large events space. 45 historic lighting fixtures were restored, including chandeliers and vintage star fixtures in the theatre and lobby as well as new high performance LED’s throughout. This project creates a new cultural destination in Boston’s iconic Avenue of the Arts, an historical corridor linking Symphony Hall, the New England Conservatory of Music, MassArt, the MFA and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Future phases will include a 14,000SF expanded lobby and public spaces and a permanent new entrance.
