SFIL provided full interior lighting design for ForeFront Eye Care’s new boutique eye clinic located in the heart of downtown Boston. The 6,300SF interior includes a retail section, patient waiting area, exam rooms and support spaces as well as back of house offices and conference areas. Creating a balance of functionality and comfort of patients and staff guided the lighting design approach. Examination rooms have soft circular fixtures as well as overhead dimmable lights to reduce eye strain and produce a shadow-free environment. In addition to natural materials and a color palate that evokes a spa-like aesthetic, the design integrates soft and even lighting throughout, cove lights and wall sconces in the waiting area, and round decorative light panels to emphasizes wellness and tranquility.
