EF Education First

Cambridge, MA

This new 300,000 SF North American headquarters for a global leader in education training, international education, and cultural exchange houses offices, education spaces, and shared spaces for employees and the community. The design features an iconic curtain wall that wraps the south and east façades creating a cascading waterfall of glowing glass. A 10-story illuminated atrium features a grand staircase visible from three sides.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

A number of sustainable lighting techniques were used to meet the City’s Stretch Energy Code and maintain greater energy reduction than the base state code at .61w/sf. As one of the largest open-plan workspaces in the world, this global 24/7 office uses linear LED lights to create well-lit workspaces with minimal energy use and daylight dimming.
