SFIL designed the lighting for this new $25M firehouse for the Boston Fire Department. The design allows customization and control in all spaces including the kitchen and dining areas, workshop, dormitories, and offices. We collabroated with Annum Architects, the Boston Fire Department and the City of Boston Public Facilities Department to help make this project a reality.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

The new firehouse was designed and built with the firefighters’ health and safety as a top priority and has many energy saving features that will  reduce the carbon footprint of the firehouse it is replacing. Low wattage and energy efficient lighting  reducea energy consumption and contribute to the project’s goal of achieving LEED Silver.
