This company provides clinical research and advanced analytics, data capture and management, and relocated their Boston office to a new 40,000 SF open concept layout. Reflecting the corporate structure and philosophy of unique science-based offerings within a larger platform, SFIL was tasked with creating an extensive and curated vocabulary of varied fixtures, rhythms and energetic layouts. This supports multiple functions within the larger open environment, creating a physical representation of the company’s mission. Bringing lighting elements into the forefront, selections and layouts were carefully organized and designed to establish both unified and autonomous spaces with a careful balance of decorative and functional elements.
SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Even though this project relied heavily on layers of light and decorative fixtures the space is incredibly energy efficient coming in at 0.4 W/sf, over 50% reduction of allowed code.
